Imagine a baby learning to walk. On his first attempt, does he fall down? Absolutely. And on his second, third, and several attempts later, but he keeps trying and eventually succeeds.
In class earlier we talked about resolutions. New Year Resolutions are simply goals. Everyone should have goals. If we want to achieve something / anything in life, a goal sets that target. Some people find goal-setting hard. Decision-making is like a muscle. It needs to be exercised. The more decisions we make, the easier it becomes. Some people don't make New Years Resolutions because they've failed in the past. Think of the baby, and what would have happened if he quit after falling down so often. It's as the Japanese saying goes "Fall down seven times, get up eight."
