“Karate Gradings are like Christmas. You look forward to them. They are exciting. But then you open the last present, and it’s just over.”
This was how J, an 11 year old testing to purple belt, described the experience. I hadn’t drawn that analogy before, but I can see it now.
It was a strong grading Friday night! With everyone from young white belts testing for their first rank, through to seniors grading for brown belt.This grading was unique in that it was the first time that a whole family tested together. Gradings are always inspiring, and this was no exception. Well done everyone!
