The Tao of Seneca

Practical Letters from a Stoic Master, with forward by Tim Ferris.

Despite being written in Roman times, nearly two thousand ago, Seneca is very readable. That said, this was a slow read for me, but packing a heavy punch. Stoicism is a practical, everyday philosophy providing simple, but not always easy to follow, guidance to navigate life’s challenges. At the end of the book, Ferris included interviews with some modern stoics. My favourite was his interview with Jocko Willink. Pretty much that entire interview resonated with me, but my favourite quote was: “Discipline equals freedom”.
